STAR DAISY

Came across this one thanks to ! This cocktail absolutely benefits from higher ABV spirits, hence my use of Freeland’s navy strength Dry Gin and Laird’s Bottled In Bond Straight Apple Brandy (50% ABV as opposed to the lower ((but still delicious 😋)) Applejack at 40% ABV) …but you should use whatever you already have on your bar cart! This cocktail was like an elevated, autumnal lemon drop; bright, crisp, and so easy to mix up quickly at home.

-¾ oz gin (I used Dry Gin)
-¾ oz apple brandy (I used Straight Apple Brandy)
-¾ oz dry curaçao
-¾ oz lemon juice
-¾ oz simple syrup
-lemon peel to express

Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake until chilled and double strain into a chilled glass. Express a lemon peel over the drink and then discard (you can keep it to garnish if you want, but I could tell that I would prefer to drink this one without a garnish!).
Perfect for: cozy cocktail nights at home, fall cocktail menus, citrus and/or apple lovers, pairing with apple crisp or a lemon bar, and anyone working on building their bar skills at home.

BEACH HOUSE GIMLET

I’ve been obsessed with the Green Chile Vodka for year (it was one of the first bottles I bought for my home bar during lockdown!) but I have a horrible habit of jealously guarding it from myself because I love it so much 😅 Not anymore, though; this cocktail recipe is going to be on regular rotation at home 🍸

I stumbled upon this recipe thanks to ! 🥂✨

1 1/4 oz gin
3/4 oz St. George Green Chile Vodka
3/4 oz fresh lime juice
1/2 oz cane sugar syrup
1 tsp crème de banane
1 dash absinthe

Add all ingredients to an ice-filled shaker. Shake and double strain into a chilled glass. No garnish needed, but I threw a dehydrated lime wheel on top for funsies.
