In the 2000s, some said the congregation shouldn’t continue with only a few members, and yet ...
Join us on December 14 to celebrate 75 years of ministry and learn what we’re up to now!

What a beautiful Christmas Day event! We hosted a "Birthday Party for Jesus" - food, carols, candles, cards, gift bags, and birthday cake!
Thanks to so many who contributed -
PDX Saints Love for co-organizing and many volunteers,
Our Streets for the great meal,
Portland Church, Happy Valley Baptist Church, and Pilgrim for gift bags,
Portland Church for cards made by children(!),
Projects for a grant for the birthday cake, fruit, candy, cards, handwarmers, and other items,
Volunteers from various choirs and other organizations,
Chipp Ross for the beautiful tree!

It was a very fun day! The last volunteer to leave said, "Thanks for providing me the opportunity to do something today other than sitting at home."
Building community is beautiful for everyone!

We'll have another Mini-Housing Fair and Resource Share in the parking lot on Saturday, 5/21/2022, from 2-4 pm.
Whether you are in a house, an apartment, or unhoused, the housing presenters may have information >you< can use.
Resource share will include socks, some clothing and hygiene items.

Oh, and there will be snacks!

Just as a reminder, the Pilgrim Lutheran Church building is closed to all use by all groups. There have been no worship, community dinners, or events by our congregation or any of the groups that have used the building in the past. We had to take this step in mid-March, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We miss our neighbors and hope to open our doors again once it's safe.

We regretfully announce the closure of our building to all regularly-scheduled events, until further notice, because of the coronavirus crisis.

The March 18 Community Dinner will be a sack lunch with no entry into the building. After March 18, the Community Dinners will be cancelled until we receive a green light from the health authorities.

We hope everyone stays safe and healthy and that the crisis will soon be over.

Please, everyone, shelter in place, so we can reduce the spread of the virus. Lets show our Love for each other by helping everyone avoid the virus.
