Hi Portland Parent Community! It’s almost the end of summer, don’t forget to enjoy it. We’ve had some smoky skies for awhile but since things have cleared… we are going to introduce our end of summer / early fall date nights for parents. We used to do this, and it was well loved… so we are opening it back up again! We need the community help to get the word out though! Parents have SUCH a hard time finding childcare, especially for quick date nights at an affordable rate. Now with our date-night share, you can plan your dates in Portland ahead of time and make sure you have reliable childcare. I offer extended hours from the poster ones as well, ask about it!
We have 2 overnight spots as well, for parents who want to extend it overnight + pickup in the morning time!

NOW ENROLLING SW PORTLAND KIDS! Hi - Southwest Portland parent looking for care and it feels impossible to find a cozy fit for your baby? This is exactly why I created Emerald Jade Early Learning. I was a preschool teacher with the same problem. I worked at many local preschools and I was… not impressed to say the least. crammed classrooms. Over ratio. Chaotic. Overstimulating. I was looking for something deeper and more meaningful for my child so I opened my own in-home Reggio-Emilia experience daycare & preschool. We used to JUST be a preschool, but we offer drop-in days and adventures + drop in care during weekends & evenings now too!

I’d love to chat with you for any of your childcare needs. Finding trusted care in Portland can be SO hard. We are private-pay and parent/child centered and really try and create a small community.

Today we start our alphabet countdown til the 2024-2025 school year and we are doing fun letter theme days! Today the kids brought an apple to school for the letter “A” to snack on & use for art time! Also, if you are interested in a spot in the only Reggio-Inspired preschool in Bridlemile…. We only have one more spot left! I expect this to be filled by the end of August, so if you’re interested in touring the space or upgrading your current spot - do it now! Hi friends! We are currently opening up tour times for preschool! We have a full time spot & part time spot open for some new friends! If you don’t know us already, we are a Reggio-Emilia inspired nature driven program. We are a full time M-F program with hours of 8-5pm and we accept children 1-5 years old! We are filling our spots quickly before fall time, so come meet us soon! We would love to show you the space & help you learn more!

100 ways to explore eggs, final part:
We used wooden spoons & wooden eggs + spring dance music to practice balance! First, we walked around in a straight line with our egg, then we tried different challenges like skipping, hopping, and dancing with our eggs. The children laughed and laughed as their eggs fell to the floor. It’s also a great way to showcase that it’s okay to get up and try again! We are moving on to 100 ways to explore spring next - stay tuned!
