The Sacred Rabbit

We’re a little late on this post but Vincent & I wanted to make sure we took a moment to share with all of you the magic that is St. Melangell, Patron Saint of Rabbits, Hares, Small Animals & the Natural World. 🐰🐿️🍄‍🟫🪴

There are quite a few legends about her origin but they all tell a story of a brave soul who fiercely stood up for animals and dedicated her life to providing sanctuary for not only the prey animals of the forest but ultimately other humans seeking refuge as well & it all started with a single hare. 🥹🐰 She is proof that having a courageous spirit and heart full of compassion can spark a ripple positive change. I encourage you to check out The Way of the Rabbit by who shared her story so beautifully in his sweet bunny book. It touched me so much that I ended up doing a deeper dive into her history & taught a class about her a few years ago. 🫶🏼

We hold her in our hearts every day and on her feast day on May 27th, we make an effort to honor her with special offerings like flowers, crystals, turning on a candle and making donations to bunny shelters & rescues. If you are in a position to do so, I invite you to consider donating to a local bunny rescue, even if it’s just $5 - a tiny act can really do so much. Sharing, liking, commenting on their posts, buying their merch, supporting their fundraisers & events, etc…there are so many ways we can celebrate the spirit of St. Melangell! Perhaps you can donate your services like photography or marketing skills? Maybe you are able to foster? Or adopt? Good things happen when we come together to help one another. 🙏🏽

We’ve officially hopped into 2026 and Aquarius Season! ♒💫 Oh my bun… does anyone else feel like it’s been 1,000 days since that ball dropped? 🙃 If you need some good news, Vinnie Bun & I have you covered! 🙏🏽🌸

We kicked off 1/11 with our first Sunday Bunday Slow Flow on Zoom with our Bunny Yogi crew! 🧘🏽‍♀️🐇 Sir Vincent the Magnificent performed his usual bunspection of our sacred space, ensuring we burrowed deep within & flowed w/the gentle spirit of the rabbit. 🌿💞

But the magic didn’t stop there! Moments after class, a bunny 911 call message came in 🚨 - a kind soul had spotted a “dumped” domestic bun in a high-traffic area 😭💔. Thanks to Kimberly from , Karen from , & two wonderful souls who let us set up x-pens in their yard (& Natures Pet Market for the loaner x-pen 🩵), we joined forces to save her! It wasn’t easy, but we did it! (With an assist from The Bunny Boss & his carrier!) 🥹✨ Now, this sweet little one is safe, loved, & cozy in her foster home. 🏡🌷

The world is heavy right now, things are awful all around, but remember this: light still lives among us. 🌕 There are pockets of bliss and moments of wonder - proof that hope never truly fades. 💖🌈

First came a Sacred Dream, then Sacred Manifestation, & now never-ending Sacred Gratitude! 🌟🐰 The Bunny Boss & I created the Bunny Burrow Card Deck during the pandemic to help humans live life more like bunnies with a few bits of sacred bunny wisdom! 🐇✨ What started as a passion project became a way to connect w/fellow animal lovers & enthusiasts of yoga, wellness, & divination tools! 🧘🏽‍♀️💫

Once Sir Vincent the Magnificent (Vinnie Bun), my Rebel Rabbit, hopped into the burrow, the Bunny Gods & Goddesses gave me a divine nudge that it was time for a rabbit refresh, & that Vinnie needed his own card too! 🌙🐰

Our original 33 Sacred Rabbits are all still there; a few cards got a little update hare & there, & the deck now has a bonus bun starring my White Bunny Knight, who saved my life after my Bunny Boss was promoted to Intergalactic Bunny Boss in the great beyond. 🌌🐇 This deck is a family affair, with so much love poured into every card, every word, all created w/ the buntention to honor people, animals, & the planet. 🌎

The deck is still locally printed in Portland on recycled paper. 🌿🖨️ The cards are slightly larger & now have a new finish so they shuffle more smoothly. 🔮✨ It still comes in a recycled burlap pouch w/a recycled kraft tag & vegan logo sticker printed w/non-toxic ink. ♻️🐰 BIG BUNNY SHOUTOUT to for helping us secure ethically sourced labradorite, so the stone the Bunny Boss chose for the deck still matches his vision! 🌙🙏 & of course, lots of love to Scribble Bunniie for bringing our ideas to life w/your designs!

As always, a portion of each deck sold is donated to your bunny rescue of choice. 🐰❤️ From 11/26–12/2 we’ll be doubling our donation per deck! 💸✨ The cost of making this deck went up, but we’re still able to offer it at the same price, largely thanks to & their generous support. I have much more to share but this post is really long & my eyes are welling up w/happy tears so I'm going to wrap it up for now!🌟
