First day of year 8 for me & first day of kinder for Z💜

Documenting that year 7 is complete! Lots of highs and lows. But grateful that we made it to summer☀️

Week 1 of YEAR 7 done ✅
Counting down the days until I meet baby #3, but I’m still at it (teaching) until then.

Year 6 is in the books. Hardest year by far. But we made it and it’s over. Now for some family time. Soaking it all in.

Was it national popcorn day? Yes it was. Did he have a popcorn themed day? Yes we did. 🍿🍿🍿

Am I a cool teacher now? 🤘🏻
How am I at the age where I have to prove how cool I am to my students?🤣

Jk but I’ve been wanting to spice up my look and finally did it. First time with a fun color and I did it myself. How’d I do? Lol

Week one, Year six ✅

YEAR 6• feeling better about this year, even though I’m short paras 🫠(but that’s everywhere right?) I kinda know “things” this year. Like the IEP system that Oregon uses and how the district does things. It’s still gonna be wild, but I’m trying to stay positive. So here’s to year six. 🤘🏻 the mirror affirmations are from

Soaking in all the sweet moments and making all the summer memories with my littles before I head back to the classroom.
I find myself feeling sad to leave my babies, but also refreshed as I head into this new school year. But for now, still enjoying these precious cuddles.

Need an activity to help students acclimate to their new environment? 🕵️A scavenger hunt might be a fun and functional activity for the beginning of the school year. You can do one for your classroom, the indoor areas in your school, & the outdoor areas on your campus. You can make it simple or have different activities for students to do at each location. I usually do these the first or second week of school. We split up into groups of 3-4 students with staff support and go explore the campus.
