Since the very beginning of Sibeiho, we’ve been incredibly grateful for the many women in the food & beverage industry here in Portland who have helped build community, lift each other up, and champion our local makers.
So many of you have supported us, shared wisdom, and opened doors. It truly takes a village, and we’re proud to be part of this one. ❤️

M*F Sambal 2026 Good Food Award Finalist. Oh wow. ❤️🔥Available via our website www.sibeiho.com
What started as a happy accident is now a finalist. 😍🤯
There was a year the chili harvest was super abundant our farmers sent us more peppers than we planned for. Instead of slowing down, we leaned in. Inspired by the bright, punchy profile of Sambal Hijau—traditionally served with crispy Ayam or Ikan Penyet (an Indonesian deep-fried turmeric chicken or fish with white rice that made its way to Singapore)
Back home, it’s often made with green tomatoes. Here in the PNW, a beautiful tomatillo market find sparked something new. The result? A Singaporean × Pacific Northwest sambal that’s super bright, tart, fiery, layered flavor —and happily its vegan :)
What do we eat it with?
Last summer’s favorite:
Ripe peaches (or tomatoes) + 1 tbsp balsamic + 1 tbsp M*F Sambal + 1 tbsp EVOO. Toss. Finish with furikake.
Sweet. Acid. Heat. Crunch. Unreal.
Also incredible as a dipping sauce with falafel.
From surplus harvest to national recognition—this one means a lot. Thank you for loving the bold flavors we grew up with. 🔥

Hihi friends, We’re kicking off the year with an ask and a lot of gratitude 🙏💛❤️💝
As a founder, asking for support never gets easier — but community has always been at the heart of how we grow. We’ve officially launched a Kiva 0% interest loan to support our next stage of growth, and we’re grateful to be a second-time Kiva borrower.
This loan helps us
• build inventory,
• invest in better equipment, and
• hire support as demand grows.
So we can reduce out-of-stock moments, increase production capacity, and create more opportunities for you to experience our bold, authentic flavors in real life.
+ It also allows us to buy more ingredients from our partner farms and continue building relationships rooted in trust, care, and shared values.
👉 If you believe in small food businesses, women-owned brands, and community-powered growth, we’d be so grateful if you’d consider lending or sharing our Kiva link. Even $25 makes a meaningful difference.
Thank you for being here and growing with us. 💛
