Art makes ALL the difference in a space. For this Sunnyvale, CA home, we brought in pieces inspired by the California landscape: from the mountains of the Sierras to the coastal beaches to the cities that grace its shores. We have an upcoming project in Washington where we've been lucky to source some wonderful, original, and vibrant art from local PNW artists. It's going to be a ssstunner 📸:

It's no sssurprise that I love color. We're not who you call for neutral rooms! In this Sunnyvale home, however, we kept the white ceiling and walls and brought in color in the furniture, proving once again, you don't need to renovate your entire home in order to transform it. 📸:

Can I just use this moment of scroll to remind you to bring your flowers inside? Those blooms make any interior look even better! 📸:

We can't wait for this main suite bathroom to get built! After the client and architectural draftsperson played around with a number of bathroom configurations, we came on board and offered up a new solution: adding a large cantilevered bay window to the bathroom to eek out just enough space to give us a light-filled wet room. A traditional cast iron tub sits in front of the trio of windows and on either side of the room, a his and hers shower head. Outside of the wet room a double vanity packs in tons of storage and a separate water closet packs a punch with wallpaper. We have a mix of materials in here: ebony quartzite on the counters and lining the opening to the wet room with Carrara marble filling that space. Brass and polished nickel pair beautifully with white ceramic sinks and bath.

Some things are classics for a reason. The Eames LCW chair will always been one of my favorite MCM pieces. Surprisingly comfortable, their size makes them a great fit in spaces small and large. 📸: .janelle

Classic polished nickel always looks good in a space especially when paired with brass! These materials have been used for over 100 years old and will never go out of style. 📸: .janelle

Sometimes in old homes you have to get creative. In this 100 year old craftsman home, the sloped ceiling header heights were just under what is required by code. So we added a skylight. It ended up being the biggest blessing. Not only does gorgeous light pour into the room, but when the skylight is open a lovely breeze circulates through the room. 📸: .janelle

We love a classic bathroom palette. This room combines Carrara marble with black and white mini-hex tiles, unlacquered brass, and a walnut-toned wood. These materials have been used in bathrooms for over 100 years and it just feels right! 📸: .janelle

Pattern play is always fun. We paired this more contemporary pattern with the classic floral wallpaper and repeated a blue color that wasn't quite the same hue. Notice the rust tone in the rug is a near perfect match for the bench though! 📸: .janelle
