About Scout 👇

Scout lives in NW Oregon but I will HAPPILY drive him anywhere in Oregon to find him a perfect home. He is mixed breed, about 4-years-old, and weighs 60 lbs. He is neutered and up-to-date on his shots!

Key traits:
- Scout is a well loved dog and a great family dog
- Scout LOVES to run and play
- Scout is intelligent and well-trained
- He has "advanced" obedience skills (per trainer!)

Scout skills:
He understands commands: sit, down, relax, place, shake, stay, heel, leave it, back, enough, with me, bedtime, and is crate trained.

Temperament:
He rarely barks. Puts himself to bed every night when we say “bedtime”. He is good on hikes, trails, and can jog. He is good with older kids and has no issues with cats. He currently lives with a 7-year-old child and a cat.

Sensitivities:
Note: Scout is aggressive with other large dogs. We are around too many other large dogs on a regular basis. He is not an "off leash" or "dog park" type of dog. We have worked with a specialist and he is still aggressive towards other large dogs.

Small dog friendly:
He has shown no aggression towards small dogs. Scout even has small dog friends!

Other notes:
He needs to go to a home that has a fenced yard.

Rehome fee:
There is $50.00 rehoming fee. He comes with his supplies and a full bag of food.

We've been caring for this super sweet Cavalier King Charles for over two years. He's super smart and pretty chatty so you'll know when Blue's here.

He's fantastic with our other pooch clients - young to senior. Blue absolutely loves chasing our ChuckIt balls, frisbees, and other dogs.

We lost our little ninja kitty Luna in 2024. She was only six-years-old and unexpectedly got kidney disease.

Luna lived her life to the fullest in a short amount of time. I'll miss her sitting on my shoulders, being a big sister to Jasper, and cuddling together.

Saying goodbye to a close companion is hardest part of being a pawdad but I'm glad she's not suffering anymore.

Say hi to Nelly, one of our newest rescue clients. We've been seeing her for day boarding while her pawmom is busy working.

Nelly had a rough past and most likely was both mentally and physically mistreated. She has vivid dreams and sleepwalks because of her trauma. We're happy to provide extra TLC for this girl who deserves it.

Power naps and playing with ChuckIt balls are her jam. She gives face licks and asks for belly rubs when she trusts you. What a sweet rescue pup.

Three is the magic number. Aizu, Vinnie and Blue joined us over winter break. They get along wonderfully and enjoy each other's company.

Blue chases balls and frisbees and Aizu enjoys borrowing them. Vinnie loves going on walks with Blue. And likes to teach him how to protect our home.

Two years in a row the universe brought them together so maybe 2025 will be the third?

Vinnie is a rescue who wandered into a high school and found a foster mom in Texas. His pawmom sometimes has long work days so we're here to support her care needs.

He's pretty anxious and skittish in general with people. We assume it's due to his rescue past so we give him plenty of space. Vinnie loves hanging out on chairs and looking out the window. He's also friendly with other larger and mellow clients.

Our Pooch Patrol pack member, Turner, has a special place in Vinnie's heart. They're always snuggling on the couch together and enjoys going on training walks. We got you Vinnie!

For National Cat Day, we present two of our favorite regular chonks, Wayne and Mister. They're both black senior rescue kitties and are super sweet with tons of personality.

Wayne loves his back pets, stick toys, and giving love bites. Mister enjoys head pets, string toys, and shredding my lap on drop-in visits. They're primarily outdoor explorers but come inside at night.

We've been caring for both of these super cuties for three years. There's a bond that you just can't beat with felines 😻 grateful to spend time with them!

Ringo is one happy puppy and has such a mellow personality. Australian Shepherds are known to be very anxious but not this boy.

He loves playing in water so we hit up Latourell Falls in the Gorge during the summer. Ringo absolutely loved it and being outdoors.

These two senior rescues love snuggling and soaking up the fall sun. Cali and Honey hung out with us last week while their pawmom was traveling.

When Honey's in the mood, belly rubs will happen. Otherwise, she's on duty protecting our home from people and other dogs.

Cali's got the most adorable ears and and uses them to communicate her needs, especially when it's mealtime 😄
