Sanding is my least favorite part of making things but also is one of the most rewarding and when things finally start looking like they’re going to be a real piece of jewelry. I like to divide everything up into groups so I can make sure my hands are getting variation in how I’m holding them. And mentally it’s more approachable for me to see there’s ten more of something than just a huge pile.

Small things are often mistaken as being easier but sanding tiny things is the pits and I’ve really set myself up for having to sand a million tiny things. But when you have a vision you’ve gotta make it happen!

Fruits are coming to first this coming weekend then will be on the site closer to the end of the month! 🍓🍑🫐🍌🍎🍋🍉🍒🍊

Yesterday’s class was so much fun! We did round two of Heated Rivalry and they did such a great job!! Jaime just joined a women’s hockey league and we were all eating up the anticipation of her wearing her earrings to practice. 🥰🥅🏒🙌🏼

It’s After Dark tonight! One of my favorite events! It’s so fun to be in the museum after closing and with no little ones and I love talking to the kind of people who want to drink in a science museum at night. 🍻🦖🏛️

Getting ready for After Dark: Brain Storm this month! The theme is all about neurology and I’m bringing bunches of brains! 🧠

Ring class was so fun! I loved seeing how creative everyone could be and how making something different challenged your brains (a lot of width, depth, surface area talk). These twirly rings Shailah made were so cool but my favorite is the delicate block ring with the rhinestones across the top. 💍😍
