Passive House Site Tour! Join me in Cushing, Maine, tomorrow (May 12) from 2-4 pm ET for a presentation and site tour of the Winchenbach-Gray Residence: https://buff.ly/WVZaXr6
Still under construction, the home has ideal solar orientation, high-quality windows, and generous insulation.
As the CPHC on the project, I was thrilled to see preliminary airtightness tests coming back well below Passive House requirements, and my energy modeling projects it will have an Energy Use Intensity (EUI) of -11 (or less!).

Set in the heart of White Mountain National Forest, Clay Brook Passive House is the first Phius-certified single-family Passive House home in New Hampshire. Plus, it currently holds the record for the lowest HERS score (without renewables) in the country at 17!
I recently sat down with Jay Fox, of the Passive House Accelerator, to talk about my journey as an architect and the work we did to bring Clay Brook Passive House to life.
You can read the full article here ⇒

See the Clay Brook Passive House in person on May 16th! This is New Hampshire's first Phius Certified home and has achieved the lowest HERS Index Score in the United States. The builder, Maine Passive House, and the architect & passive house consultant, Project CO+OP, will explain how this project was able to reach such achievements and answer any questions.
After that, we'll head to the nearby Big Day Brewing for more informal and perhaps more lively conversation!
