performer spotlight: Van Riper SLP Band is comprised of Speech-Language Pathologists who all work in Portland Public Schools. They named their band after Charles Van Riper, a father of their profession. Mandolin, ukulele, guitar, drums, percussion and old-time harmonies shine with members Craig Dermer, Sarah Stratton, Tristan Trotter, Greg Unwin and Kathy Ware. Find them playing bluegrass, country, pop and a few originals in the Hector Campbell Neighborhood on July 22!
