I started using CT 3D recons in preop planning, but also found it can be a great tool to look at basic anatomy. Muscles of the thoracic wall can be tricky to visualize. Important landmarks are the auscultatory triangle (latissimus, trapezius, and scapula), the serratus anterior, and the paraspinal muscles. Using software , I'm able to cut away the latissimus to fully view the serratus along with it insertions.
