Every December I offer a selection of studies and finished works that were completed in the last year, along with some older works that need new homes. My goal is to help make buying original art more accessible, and to make room for new work.

Many of these paintings were painted alongside my students during their lessons, so they hold memories of learning and creating together. I hope some of the passion I have for painting, my students, and my career comes through in these works.

As always, buying handmade items of all kinds isn't only cool, it's an amazing way to support the artists in your life. Link to view/purchase in my bio. 🤗🎄🎨

And please hit up your local art/craft shows between now and the holidays! They have the very best gifts. ✨

Happy Season of Graditude from Barry and me! May you be happy, may you have ease, may you paint (or craft/make) with abandon. Please know that I'm rooting you on from my little studio in Portland, Maine. ❤️🙏🎨

I had a photo shoot at the studio this morning (pro photos to come) but I took a few vignettes. As always Barry stole the show but my students looked great too. Can’t wait to share more.

I’m just here trying to enjoy Maine’s incredibly short and perfectly sweet summer before it floats by. Summer students and flower beds and camping and loving and learning and all of the things. I hope you are getting into it too!

2024 didn't come without some real challenges but I felt lucky every day I got to walk through the studio door. I have some of the most dedicated, talented, kind students imaginable and I couldn't be more grateful. Here are a few shots of my students in action over the last year. Looking forward to what we will create together in 2025!

Somehow it’s December again! This is the time when I need to sell some of my paintings from 2024 to make room for new ones in 2025.

Many of these were joyfully painted alongside my students and they carry good memories of learning, laughing, and creative exploration.

My student Randi and I just completed this interior painting. She did an amazing job with a challenging subject! Our inspiration was a gorgeous photograph by and I’m sharing it here with permission. These old Maine homes have so much character and nostalgia and I hope we captured a bit it of it in our paintings. 💙

I've had a love affair with the lights in downtown Portland for years. They bring something magical to an otherwise dark time of year. This is Tommy's Park, in front of the incredible mural by . Happy February, everyone, it's more than half way over!

Every day I come into work I feel like I've somehow cheated the system, in the best possible ways. I can't afford vacations or retirement, but who cares. I love my job, my clients, and my community so much it hurts. Capitalism tells us if we aren't strung out, depleted, and hoarding our wealth then we're doing something wrong. I beg to differ. I hope you'll all find your own ways to game the system because sometimes the unconventional path is pretty damn incredible. 🎨
