Finally got to try for girl's lunch! We tried a little bit of a lot and enjoyed it all! Breakfast sando with bacon on their freshly made milk bread, iced strawberry matcha latte, ube & Yuzu donuts, and fries! It was all delicious and I can't wait to go back to try more! π

We had fun trying the first Washington State πβ€οΈπ΄π everything tasted great (the fries are decent if you order them "well done"π) and the wait was kinda long but not unbearable

I made the easiest (and most delicious) lemon bars for Easter, recipe from Anita .thistle.kitchen , and they were a huge hit with the family! π
I baked them yesterday with my best ingredients (a friend's homegrown California lemons, vanilla bean paste & butter for the shortbread crust) and they chilled in the fridge overnight so they could be perfect today! Imagine a sharp, fragrant lemon filling contrasting with the buttery snap of the cookie crust π just heavenly for lemon lovers like myself!
I'm out of practice with food photography but they were too beautiful on the counter to not snap a couple photos. I was inspired by the way Anita sliced her bars into rectangles instead of squares, so I followed suit!

Happy ! I love a fun, irrational holiday like no other so here's a little round up of favorite pies and pie bars (plus one quiche) from years past! I'm not sure if I'll be making any pies this year, we're just kind of relaxing today. A very rare occurrence for me!

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate! β€οΈπ I'm feeling thankful and blessed to be finally living in a home again, after spending so long searching π It's a quiet morning for me but soon I'll be having Christmas Brunch with the kids, and we'll enjoy the Eggnog French Toast Bake that I make each year. β€οΈ
Recipe comes from and uses delicious challah bread from , the best eggnog, a splash of , and is always topped with my favorite syrup π€

I can't stop thinking about these Gingerbread Cookie Cheesecake Bars I made last year! The recipe comes from and everyone who tried them LOVED THEM!
The perfectly spiced gingerbread cookie is both the base of the bar and the cute topping, which is nice to not have to create two separate elements. My seasonings were so well balanced (nothing overpowering the other; looking at you, ginger π) and even though I was nervous to try a new brand of molasses, I was very happy with the flavor of Organic Unsulphered Molasses! I usually buy "Grandma's" but I loved how this turned out!
I loaded the cheesecake layer with vanilla bean paste and loved how it paired with the gingerbread cookie! They balanced each other out with creamy cheesecake and soft, festive cookie!
I'm very picky about the flavor and texture of my gingerbread and I absolutely adored this recipe, so that says a lot! I'm definitely feeling like making this treat again π₯°
