Okay so my work on portraits who look like specific people could definitely still use work since he only kind of looks like who he's supposed to. Just squint a bit for me guys.

My snow queen drawing came out really well. Eventually it would be really cool to do a full drawing but I'm really pleased with how her face came out. Her kokoshnik was really fun to design.

So I think the recent portrait practice is really paying off. Currently not featured is the many alien looking disasters I drew to get here.

I still have a really long way to go with my portrait work but I'm really happy she at least doesn't look malformed for once.

Wanted to do a full version color version of one of my past little sketches and and I really enjoy how it came out. It's a much looser style than i usually work in but I'm really happy with it.

It's been a long time since I've felt like sitting down to just doodle. Doing one of these every once in a while is like an artistic reset for me. It feels good to sit down with no plan. No need to research, or prep and just draw what ever feels right in the moment.

Working on some embroidery work. I haven't done this on actual fabric in a very long time. It's been fun getting to do stitches that don't work well on harder materials. I'm going to be playing with different ways to do ferns for awhile which should be a really fun exploration. Also I did not purposefully match my nail polish to my work but I am enjoying that it does.

I am thrilled with how my Purl stitch pattern came out. It's just as cozy as I was hoping it would be. I can't wait to put out more cozy warm patterns!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Getting some preliminary art work done for my pattern collection. Everyone in the Pacific Northwest knows sweater weather is the best weather. I'm creating a collection about my favorite parts of our lovely drizzle. What are your favorite parts?

I'm taking a course in pattern design right now. As part of that I'm making it a new mission to take more pictures of any thing that sticks out to me as interesting. Later this week I'll show you my sketches and what these eventually become once they get strained through my brain.

I had so much fun with the collaboration I did with .studio . It was great to try some of my mixed media techniques out in a new format.
