Please join us in welcoming Elise Jenkins to Porthaven Post Acute PACS: Healthcare Elevated as our newest Experiential Learning Intern in partnership with Oregon State University ๐Ÿ’ซ

Elise is a third-year student at Oregon State University pursuing a degree in Public Health with a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences. She is interested in a future career in Occupational Therapy and is eager to explore the many disciplines that make up the healthcare field.

Throughout her time at Oregon State, Elise has demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership, research, and service. She serves as an Oregon State TOUR Ambassador, holds multiple leadership positions within Delta Gamma, participates in an Honors College research project, and has dedicated countless hours to volunteer and community service initiatives.

Today, Elise spent time shadowing our wound care nurses and wound physician, gaining firsthand exposure to the interdisciplinary care provided in the post-acute setting. Over the coming months, she will have opportunities to learn from team members across multiple departments while gaining valuable hands-on experience in healthcare.

We are proud to partner with Oregon State University provide experiential learning opportunities for future healthcare leaders and are excited to mentor Elise as she continues her educational and professional journey.

Welcome to the Porthaven family, Elise! ๐Ÿ’œ

๐ŸŽฃโ˜€๏ธ It was a reel good day to be out on the water!

Our residents enjoyed a beautiful day of sunshine, fresh air, and fishing. They brought home some serious bragging rights with a total of 20 fish caught! ๐ŸŸ

The competition was friendly, the laughs were plentiful, and the fish may be requesting a day off after this performance. ๐Ÿ˜„

What a wonderful day spent making memories, enjoying the outdoors, and proving that age is no barrier to having a little fun in the sun! PACS: Healthcare Elevated Porthaven Post Acute
