FYI I'm going to be selling some stuff at the Foulmouthed Maker's Market from 12 - 4 tomorrow as part of the Knightville Holiday Stroll!! I'll have neck gaiters and hats available, as well as a small selection of originals and prints. It's my first Salt Song post in literal years but I'm here at the Portland First Friday Art with Sophie from ! Just selling hats and neck gaiters today, but I'm hoping to have prints of my more current work ready to go soon!

I have been having a TOUGH TIME the last few weeks with a chronic shoulder injury. Basically put all my goals on hold in favor of icing, epsom soaks, tears, etc. I am now experiencing some relief thanks to a prednisone prescription and was finally feeling well enough to go for a short run. It was exhausting yet satisfying. This has been an Annoying Setback™️, but I’m hoping it’s only up from here.

Last year on my birthday I wasn’t running at all due to foot pain (though I still celebrated with a running event and snuck about 30 seconds of running in the woods). This year on my birthday I was able to run two miles! Thank you for all the birthday wishes. I only wish I could have celebrated with everyone in person!

I’m having a tough week because an old shoulder pain is back with a vengeance, but I did manage to make a 4th headband prototype today and I think the pattern is ready to go! I still need to refine the stitching a little more, but it’s aaaaalmost ready for production.

.62 asked to test-drive the galaxy headband prototype when we went for our run today. Gotta say it’s a great look with purple hair and a Salt Song dragon neck gaiter! The final design still needs a few more tweaks. I took a tumble on Friday’s run that woke up an old shoulder injury, so I did less sewing this weekend than I wanted to. Anyone else hoping for a snow day on Tuesday?
