One year in and one year out - I am so greatful for .mend.pdx and everything I've gained and learned this year. Truly honored to be part of this community and to get to heal in such a beautiful place (in more ways than one).
I am so grateful for my patients and coworkers, it is truly and honor to work with you all. Happy New Year! And here's to what will hopefully be a great year of progression, love and honesty.
Plus Kupo is pretty cute, eh? The tiniest little void you ever did see. π₯³

No one place should be this serene and lovely - had a great day in the sunshine this weekend with my lovely friend, and got to see the weeping cherry in full bloom! She thought the last magnolias in the last picture looked like beautiful little teacups - thoughts? πΈ
Enjoy the sunshine, !

Spring in is just so gorgeous - the cherryblossoms are my favorite! Both the waterfront and the Japanese gardens are just breathtaking (only waterfront pictured above). I love the nature in this city more each year! πΈ
I'm also exploring my first foray into gardening this year, and my own cherry tree is getting ready to bloom!
For those of you with gardening soreness or any injuries - you know where I am! You can book from the link in my bio! The Mend is waiting.

Notes from the ancient Chinese on staying healthy in winter: keep the back of your neck covered (turtlenecks and/or scarves), and your lower back warm! Winter is the season of water and cold, so we need to balance this by keeping our internals warm onside and out.
Enjoying warming healthy soups and hearty nourishing broths during this time increases your body's gut health and ability to stay warm.
Tip: Ginger, cinnamon, fennel, cloves, black pepper, cardamom, and star anise are all great additions to your savory and sweet creations. Stay warm friends!

βοΈ Happy solstice everyone! βοΈ As they say ... "winter is coming" ...
Well I suppose it's already here! Winter is the season of cold, water, and the kidney, making it the most yin time of the year. Yin embodies all that is cold, dark, hidden, reflective, and directed inward, so this is a good time for us to allow ourselves rest, reflect, and warm both our inner and outer selves.
That means warm soups, cozy clothing (especially covering the neck and low back), and restive activities that bring you peace.
Enjoy the last of the fall leaves as we transition fully into the cold.

I was privileged to be in gorgeous Kaua'i last week - I was off social media, so this week will be my record!
This mountain is the Waimea trail, the Pu'u o Kila - the hill of chief Kila in the Koke'e state park.
On a clear day you can see to the ocean - it was raining and gorgeous and we had the place to ourselves...fun fact, this mountain is where part of jurassic park was filmed!
