We had an event over the weekend and had a blast with our Hardstyle Community!

2nd CHALLENGE: 3 attempts at heavy barbell deadlift — powerlifting style
3rd CHALLENGE: Pull ups for reps or flexed arm hang for time
4th CHALLENGE: the famous 5:00 Sn**ch test!

🦶THE BENEFITS OF TRAINING BAREFOOT, OR IN MINIMAL SOLED SHOES, ARE COUNTLESS ⬇️
There are 26 bones, 33 joints, over 100 tendons and ligaments, 29 muscles and 7000 nerve endings per foot!
When we wrap our feet up in big foam soled shoes we are restricting the natural movement of the foot and severely limiting the body’s ability to sense the ground.
Training barefoot connects us to the ground. And no matter what lift we are practicing, all of our strength comes from the ground.
Our two feet hold over 1/4 of the bones in our body!
Training barefoot helps strengthen arches and support ankle stability.
So… kick off those sick new Yeezys that you just sold a kidney for, and spread your toes out in one of our Foundations classes today!

⚡️ MEMBER SPOTLIGHT SAM ⚡️
Sam just PR’ed his deadlift at 255lbs, but by the time we post this he’s probably hit a new one.
Help us congratulate him on his latest feat!
Here’s his story and what he has to say about Hardstyle:
“I came to Hardstyle during a difficult period of my life, which included a divorce and a move.
I was looking for a gym nearby where I could build strength and confidence, and hopefully meet some cool people.
Hardstyle and Paris delivered on all three!
I really appreciate how all the Hardstyle trainers can meet you where you’re at and work around all the little jokes our bodies can play on us, especially as we get more seasoned in this life.
I’ve been blown away by my strength gains and how much fun strength training and kettlebells can be!”

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT FOR ISABELL! ✨
We love having Isabell in the gym — she’s a blast and just PR’ed her barbell deadlift for 370lbs!! Great work Isabell! You freaking rock, girl!
Here’s her Hardstyle story:
“I first joined hardstyle strength three years ago at their old location. I had never even heard of Kettlebells and even thought the name of the gym was a little silly…but I wanted a gym near my house.
I walked in one day and was greeted by an energized who led me in my first kettlebell class and now three years later has helped me become stronger than I ever thought I could be!
I’ve always been the bigger girl and self conscious of my body but not anymore since training at hardstyle…I own my strength now, love my body and picking up heavy sh*t!
I have never felt more welcome at a gym and also taken care of; the attention to detail and technique is unmatched and it’s simply a fun place to be.
Thank you, Teal and all of the Hardstyle Strength community for helping me discover this version of myself I always wanted to be; confident! Cheers to 370 and beyond!”
