Oregon & SW Washington African Community Development Center
Community Development, Multnomah county, Portland,Oregon
Oregon and Southwest Washington African Community Development Center (OSWWACDC) works to empower African and immigrant communities through education, social services, cultural support, and community development programs.
“In this era of global political ideology, we have reached a point where neither a single individual, a group, nor even the leadership of one nation can sustain power without the support of the global community. As individuals, we must learn to see beyond the horizon and think outside the box. Our time calls upon us to equip ourselves with the principles of partnership, collaboration, and unity in order to achieve visions far greater than individual success.”

Proud to be part of a great organization that truly cares about youth and families, supporting the hopes, dreams, and aspirations they strive to achieve. Together with our valued partners, including Multnomah County Department of Community Justice - Youth and Family Services Division, we remain committed to empowering young people and strengthening families throughout our community.
We believe that, as a community, it is far better to be proactive in prevention than reactive after challenges arise. By investing in our youth, supporting families, and creating opportunities for growth and success, we help build a healthier, safer, and more prosperous future for all.
Thank you to everyone who has stepped up to serve. Your dedication, compassion, and leadership are making a meaningful difference in the lives of youth and families every day. Together, we are turning hope into opportunity and dreams into reality.

Community Food Distribution Through Partnership and Service
Every Wednesday and Friday, our office becomes a place of hope, support, and community connection through our ongoing food distribution program. This important effort is made possible through the collaborative partnership of On the Move with Jesus Outreach Ministries, ALMS Medical Clinic, and Oregon & SW Washington African Community Development Center (OSWWACDC).
Together, we are committed to serving individuals and families facing food insecurity by providing access to nutritious food and essential community resources. Beyond food distribution, this partnership reflects our shared vision of caring for the whole person—supporting physical health, social well-being, and community empowerment.
Through the dedication of volunteers, community leaders, and partner organizations, we continue to strengthen our neighborhoods and ensure that no one is left behind. Every Wednesday and Friday, we witness the power of unity, compassion, and service in action.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all supporters, volunteers, and community partners who make this mission possible. Together, we are building stronger, healthier, and more connected communities—one family at a time.
