The Seine River as seen from the Eiffel Tower. Spent a few days in Paris for spring break. By far one of my most favorite cities in the world.

My aurora borealis outing last Friday was very last minute. I slowly worked my way out of town in hopes to find a good location before it all went away. I eventually came upon this scene along the Columbia River of this house boat, just outside Portland. This is my first time ever seeing the Northern Lights in person and while I'll fully admit this photo is enhanced a bit, the lights still looked pretty spectacular in person.

Spent a couple of hours taking photos at Bandon beach while heading down the Oregon coast. I could have spent all day here. Definitely want to come back for some sunsets. What a beautiful area!

I came across this scene while hiking in the Gorge one morning but the low clouds weren't quite positioned correctly to fully frame the tree. The winds were pushing them around quite a bit so I waited until they positioned themselves just right. I struggle with being patient with photography. When I come across a composition I just want to capture it and get looking for the next one. As if they'll disappear if I did get to them quickly enough. This photos is a reminder to me that patience is an important skill to have as a photographer.

Haven't wanted to head out in this cold storm we're currently experiencing here in the Portland area. But in honor of the cold here's a pic of a frozen Alta Lake up in British Columbia I took one cold morning last year.
