Amazing structure on the storms that are sweeping across southern Maine this afternoon. Caught this incredible shelf cloud in Cumberland and some great views of the storm and lupines in Portland ⚡️🌩️

Brrr! Such a chilly start to Sunday, we made it below the freezing mark in Sanford with widespread frost in many spots. Ridiculous with June and meteorological summer starting tomorrow 🙄 Thankfully, a pattern shift in the week ahead brings summer temps back into the forecast! We're back near 70 Tuesday and in the 80s in many spots later in the week. Next weekend looks warm too!

Gardeners beware! Clearing skies and light winds tonight, along with this abnormally cold late May airmass will lead to the threat of frost across the interior and mountains. Temps could get close to 32 in many spots. Cover up those plants 🥶🥶

Strong wind gusts nearing 50mph this morning along with fully leafed out trees has led to a few thousand outages in southern and western Maine this morning. Thankfully, winds should be gradually diminishing through the rest of the day.

Good morning! Time for an obligatory "It's snowing on Mt. Washington on May 30th!" post. This chilly system swinging through the region is bringing heavy rain and gusty winds to southern Maine, and temps are also very chilly- stuck in the 30s and low 40s and with strong winds it's feeling close to the freezing mark. Rain ends later this morning, expect some improvements later today but we remain quite cool.

Another stunner on the way for today! Highs once again reach the 80s for most with plenty of sun and a nice offshore breeze. Enjoy it ahead of the return to a cool pattern starting tomorrow 😢
