Michael Annus and I performed "Badge Ain't Silver" next to the Willamette River in the mid-1990s. It was inspired by an Oregon State Senator who frequently claimed to have been in law enforcement, but never provided any details and some in the press gallery suspected she'd been in supermarket security.
