A HUGE THANK YOU to the employees from Texas Roadhouse - Portage who came out for a volunteer day today and helped us with the first step of our landscape project! They worked hard hauling old bushes, digging out some grass and weeds in the front garden area, and helping us get it all leveled for what comes next! Stay tuned in the coming weeks for what we have planned for our shelter landscaping!

Just a reminder that our shelter is CLOSED today (Wednesday 6/24) for some deep cleaning! The cats and kittens will plan on seeing you Friday when we return to our normal hours.

Can/Bottle for today - we will still collect donations between 5-6 pm, but please no donations during the day.

Ok, we know it’s officially summer but we still have spring cleanup to do at the shelter! We’re not procrastinators, we’ve just been busy with kittens and puppies!

Our shelter will be CLOSED Wednesday 6/24. We’ll return to our normal shelter hours on Friday.

We know hot summer temps result in extra water consumption, but our can/bottle volunteers wanted to remind everyone that water bottles and any Non-carbonated/Non-sparkling drinks are not eligible for MI 10cent returns.

We appreciate your can/bottle donations so much! We will recycle all of this that was received yesterday by filling some recycle bins at a volunteer’s home, but please know that the rescue does not have a way to recycle all this.
