⚠️ South Westnedge Reconstruction Project Update

Project Duration: Monday, June 8 to August 2026, weather & materials permitting.

Part 1:
🔹 On Monday, June 8, the southbound lane on South Westnedge Avenue from Centre Avenue to the traffic signal at Portage Central Middle School will be shifted to the center left turn lane.
🔹 This work will allow for the replacement of the existing trail as part of the South Westnedge Avenue Reconstruction project.

Part 2:
🔹 On Monday, June 8, temporary traffic signals will be activated for a lane closure along the east side of South Westnedge Avenue from Oakview Drive to Crocket Avenue for the placement of temporary piping in advance of force main lining.
🔹 The temporary traffic signals are scheduled to be active until Saturday, June 13, to allow both northbound and southbound traffic.
🔹 On Friday, June 12, South Shore Drive will be closed at South Westnedge Avenue for the installation of temporary piping across South Shore Drive.

🚗 Traffic delays are expected in this area, and motorists are urged to seek an alternate route.
