2 features for tomorrow at the Bellflower: Baklava Fingers and Key lime Cake bites.

The Fingers are made with a walnut, sugar and orange blossom water mix, bathed in butter while baking then topped with a simple sugar syrup flavored with lemon juice and orange blossom water.
The Keylime cake bites have a homemade graham cracker crust with lime cake dipped in a vanilla key lime coating. Just in time for Cinco de Mayo!!

Sometimes my trials aren’t planned. Nothing like scrolling through social media to make me want to try something new. I’ve made traditional baklava before, but never tried “fingers” as I’ve always called them growing up. These fingers will be making an appearance at The Bellflower on Sunday, May 3rd.

Do you ever have the best intentions to document what you’re doing but then get busy and forget half way through? I sure do! Pictured below is almost half of what I did last week. Dipped pretzel rods, sandwich cookies, cereal treats, cookies and a chocolate raspberry cake. Very thankful that I had a good friend to help!
