๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘‡ When youโ€™re visiting somewhere newโ€ฆ do you hike or just nap and take pictures?

We went for the hike and tackled the Oxbow Perimeter Loop (3.2 miles of definitely not a โ€œquick strollโ€).

๐ŸŒณ Views: absolutely breathtakingโ€”like, โ€œokay Florida ๐Ÿ‘€โœจโ€
๐Ÿ’ฆ Sweat: aggressiveโ€ฆ basically human sprinklers ๐Ÿฅต
๐Ÿ˜… Loops: endlessโ€”seriously, when does it end??
โœ… Lost? Miraculously, nope (big personal growth moment)

Would we do it again? Yes.
Would we be extra sweaty and dramatic again? Also yes ๐Ÿ˜‚

โžก๏ธ Swipe to see proof we survived ๐Ÿ“ธ

โ›ฑ๏ธ Umbrella + shade or ๐Ÿฅต full sun bravery?

Imagine thinking youโ€™re just going to relax on a Florida beachโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜…

Went to Round Beach in Vero and WOWโ€ฆ those clouds were showing off โ˜๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Umbrella up, chairs in the shadeโ€”because we do NOT do full sun ๐Ÿ˜‚

Spotted:
๐ŸฆŽ Tiny lizard (cute)
๐ŸŒŠ Man oโ€™ war (not so cute ๐Ÿ˜ณ)

Then we hit the RV park trail and it escalated FAST:
๐Ÿฆ– Giant iguana
๐ŸŠ Lots of alligatorsโ€ฆ AND BABIES ๐Ÿ‘ถ

โ€ฆaka time to mind our business and keep it moving ๐Ÿ˜…

Florida said โ€œenjoy your stayโ€โ€ฆ but like, respectfully from a distance

๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ Raise your hand if youโ€™ve ever forgotten to check the tide before paddlingโ€ฆ

๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ›ถ We met up with some RV friends at Fort Pierce Inlet State Park for what was supposed to be a relaxing paddleโ€ฆ

Turns out it was very low tide, so our trip quickly turned into a mix of paddlingโ€ฆ and dragging our kayaks and paddleboards like it was part of the plan. ๐Ÿ˜†

๐Ÿข We still spotted sea turtles, watched the birds, and had an amazing time โ€” so no complaints.

๐Ÿน Finished the day at Skipperโ€™s Cove Tiki Bar with drinks and appetizers (because we definitely earned that).

๐Ÿ˜‚ Lesson learned: next timeโ€ฆ check the tide chart first

๐ŸŽ‰ Help me wish Buck a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! ๐ŸŽ‚

๐Ÿš› Heโ€™s the one who pulls our fifth wheel all over the place while I sit over here planning the adventures.

๐Ÿ“ I pick the destinationsโ€ฆ
๐Ÿ›ป He actually gets us there.

๐Ÿ˜… Then comes the fun part โ€” backing into the campsite. Buck does it like a pro while I stand outside doing my very official RV hand signalsโ€ฆ which mostly mean โ€œkeep comingโ€ฆ keep comingโ€ฆ WAIT WAIT WAIT!โ€ ๐Ÿ˜‚

And somehow after all thatโ€ฆ he still trusts my directions and agrees to the next adventure.

โค๏ธ Life on the road wouldnโ€™t be the same without him. Happy Birthday Buck! ๐Ÿฅณ

๐Ÿ‘‡ Who else has mastered the RV hand signal choreography while their spouse backs in? ๐Ÿ˜…

๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ˜† Have you ever shown up somewhere expecting a big showโ€ฆ and nature was like, โ€œeh, not today?โ€

๐Ÿ“ We visited Blowing Rocks Preserve during high tide and the tide chart said 3 ft, so we were expecting those giant waves blasting up through the rocks like we saw a couple years ago.

๐ŸŒŠ The ocean had other plans this time. We didnโ€™t get the huge splashy blowholes, but it still didnโ€™t disappoint.

โœจ The waves crashing on the rocks, the sound of the water, and the views were still absolutely beautiful.

๐Ÿ’™ Turns out even when Blowing Rocks decides to be a little less โ€œblowy,โ€ itโ€™s still one of the most beautiful beaches to visit.

โ“ Have you ever been to Blowing Rocks during high tide?

Photos from Nomadic In Nature's post 03/04/2026

๐ŸŒŠ Have you ever gone back somewhere and it felt like a completely different place?

โ˜€๏ธ The first time we went to Chastain Beach, it was low tide and we thought, โ€œOh this is nice.โ€ Calm. Peaceful. Very well-behaved ocean. ๐Ÿ˜Œ

๐ŸŒŠ This time we showed up at HIGH TIDEโ€ฆ and the ocean chose chaos.

๐Ÿ’ฅ The waves were crashing against the rocks like they had something to prove. Splashing everywhere. Loud. Dramatic. Absolutely amazing.

๐Ÿ˜ณ One minute weโ€™re standing there saying, โ€œWow, this is beautifulโ€โ€ฆ the next minute weโ€™re bracing ourselves so we donโ€™t get soaked.

๐ŸŒฌ It totally gave us Blowing Rocks energy โ€” that powerful, dramatic water-meets-rock moment that makes you just stand there and stare.

๐Ÿคฏ Same beach. Completely different personality. Low tide is the calm, quiet friend. High tide is the extra friend who shows up ready to make a scene.

๐ŸŒŠ Safe to sayโ€ฆ we loved the chaos.

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ™Œ Three hours laterโ€ฆ we finally left.

And honestly? We couldโ€™ve stayed longer.

The jetty is one of those places where time disappears. ๐๐Ž๐€๐“๐’ ๐Ÿšค coming in and out, ๐…๐ˆ๐’๐‡๐„๐‘๐Œ๐„๐ ๐ŸŽฃ casting lines, families walking the rocks, and that constant ๐Ž๐‚๐„๐€๐ ๐๐‘๐„๐„๐™๐„ ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ that just feels good. Itโ€™s also such a great spot for ๐๐‡๐Ž๐“๐Ž๐’ ๐Ÿ“ธ โ€” you get the water ๐ŸŒŠ, the boats ๐Ÿšค, and that classic ๐…๐‹๐Ž๐‘๐ˆ๐ƒ๐€ ๐‚๐Ž๐€๐’๐“๐‹๐ˆ๐๐„ ๐Ÿ๏ธ backdrop all in one place.

๐Ÿน๐Ÿ”ฅ After soaking it all in, someone casually saidโ€ฆ โ€œTiki bar?โ€
