Thanks to the clinicians of Psychological Transitions and the incredible patience of Sherry Roberts, COO, we are now able to offer Telepsychology services to almost 10,000 residents of long term care facilities in Ohio.
Over the last few weeks, we have delivered tablets to our partner facilities and onboarded many facility staff members.
In this time of uncertainty and isolation we are grateful to all who have helped us continue to meet the needs of vulnerable elders.
One elder who appreciates telepsychology, said to Dr.Randolph, βit is so good to see a face. I am tired of these masked bandits.β

Your Mental Health Matters β Practice Self Care
The Psychologists and Counselors of Psychological Transitions provide services to clients in our Port Clinton offices and in elder care facilities throughout Ohio and as we interact with our clients and their families, we recognize how emotionally difficult these times can be. With the uncertainty of the threats to health and well-being and the effects of self-isolation, some individuals report grief over the loss of connection associated with social distancing and anxiety about an unpredictable future. Some of us find ourselves experiencing some of the elements of grieving such as denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.
Depression, anxiety, sleep disturbance, unrealistic anger and irritability are typical and predictable reactions.
Practice mindfulness, relaxation, meditation, etc. Use the coping strategies that work for you. Attend to your physical well-being. Good nutrition. Reasonable exercise. Good sleep hygiene.
Reach out to a mental health provider if you are experiencing significantly disturbing symptoms. Most of us now provide telehealth services along with face to face services.
