We will have food trucks at the range during our 3P Nationals! they will be Traveling Tom's Coffee and the The Bagel Buggy- A Taste of Tiffin, come and visit!

Yesterday was practice day for the 3P Sport Nationals, here are some highlights of what our competitors do best.

Meant as a look into events fired at the upcoming National Matches in July and August, the Warm-Up series offers a first-hand preview of CMP’s highpower events as well as the Garand, Springfield, Vintage, Modern Military competitions.

Schedule includes:
- 30 Shot Rifle
- 80 Shot Rifle
- 3×600 Mid-Range
- EIC Service Rifle
- GSMM

The lineup will also include special Ohio Rifle & Pistol Association awards for the ORPA State Championship Match and the Ohio Governor’s Match (the EIC Service Rifle Match).

CMP Announces New Chief Marketing Officer

PORT CLINTON, Ohio – 15 June 2026 – The CMP is happy to announce the appointment of Christine Elder to the role of Chief Marketing Officer. Christine will report to Fabian Lobera, Chief Operating Officer, effective June 15.

“We are pleased to promote Christine from within the organization. With more than 26 years of experience at CMP, including several years as Communications Manager, she brings the leadership, work ethic and expertise needed to strengthen our brand, expand our sales and marketing efforts and support the continued growth of the CMP community,” said Lobera.

Christine joins a team of five Officers leading the CMP.

“I am honored by the opportunity to continue growing with CMP and to help elevate awareness of the organization’s mission, programs and lasting impact,” said Elder. “CMP has played a meaningful role in my professional journey, and I am proud to step into this position at a time of continued growth."

Join us next Saturday at the Erie County Conservation League as we help host the 2026 Ohio State Rimfire Sporter Championship!

The event will be held at the facility on June 13, using CMP's electronic targets for scoring!

Open to the public, registration begins at 7 a.m., followed by four relays:
- Relay 1: 8:00 a.m
- Relay 2: 9:30 a.m.
- Relay 3: 11:30 a.m.
- Relay 4: 1:00 p.m.

Adults: $40 ($10 Re-Entry Fee)
Juniors: $20 ($5 Re-Entry Fee)

The CMP is excited to announce our newest team member, Tim Schmeltzer!

Tim has joined the International Programs Department and will be a tremendous asset to current CMP programs and the future expansion of the Gary Anderson CMP Competition Center, set to be completed late next year.

Tim has competed in Air Rifle, Air Pistol, Smallbore, Service Rifle and has traveled internationally with Team USA. Recently, Tim set a new CMP Air Pistol Finals National Record.

In addition to his competitive shooting background, Tim brings a wealth of gunsmithing knowledge in both the air gun and smallbore worlds.

We are excited to have Tim onboard and look forward to the knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm he will bring to CMP!
