Well, Mother Nature had other plans for us last Thursday. ☔
Since we don't have a video from last week's rain-soaked non-event, here's a throwback to one of The Sensations' earlier appearances at Timber Pointe—back in the days before we had the Hard Decks Sound Stage, when bands performed from a flatbed trailer under the stars.
Turn up the volume and enjoy their take on The Black Crowes' "Jealous Again." If tomorrow night's show is anything like this one, the only people who'll be jealous are the ones who stayed home. 😉
Lead vocalist Holland Zander is the daughter of Cheap Trick frontman Robin Zander, while Belvidere native Dana Buck brings decades of local rock history to the stage.

Our next Couples 9-Hole Golf Event takes place on **Friday, June 26** as this year's **Shipwrecks & Air Disasters** theme continues with the hit television series **LOST**.
Teams will play the 2-Person **"The Island Chooses" Mystery Scramble**, where the island randomly imposes twists and restrictions throughout the round.
Along the way you'll encounter:

Compete for the longest drive while hitting your tee shot from a seated position aboard our Oceanic Airlines Golf Cart.

This Friday's **Fry-Day Night Unplugged** is shaping up to be one of them.

This Thursday, we're welcoming The Stevee Nix to The Hard Decks Sound Stage at 6:30 p.m. With a fun, energetic mix of 80s, 90s, and 2000s favorites, they have a way of turning every show into a singalong one minute and a dance party the next.
Pizza Fresca, Mario's Taco Express, and Rusty Drum BBQ begin serving at 5:00 p.m., while The Ice Cream Shack will be dishing up soft-serve treats, concrete mixers, and boozy ice cream cocktails.

🎸 **It's Finally Here! Thursdays at the Pointe Returns This Week!** 🎸
The wait is over! Our summer concert season kicks off Thursday, June 4th, when award-winning 80's glam rock tribute band **Sunset Strip (full band)** takes the Hard Decks Sound Stage at **6:30 p.m.**
Think **Mötley Crüe, Poison, Bon Jovi, Ratt, Cinderella, and Autograph**—complete with the big hair, leather, bandanas, and over-the-top energy that made the 80's unforgettable.
🤘 **Join the fun and dress the part!** Break out the leather jackets, denim vests, concert tees, aviators, teased hair, and all your favorite 80's rock fashion.
🍕 Food service starts at **5:00 p.m.** featuring:

⚓🚢 TITANIC NIGHT RECAP 🚢⚓
Our 2026 Couples 9-Hole Golf Series got underway Friday night with **Titanic Night**, the first event in this year's **Shipwrecks & Air Disasters** theme.
Seventy-two golfers filled the field, with many embracing the theme—including **Gary & Pam Shattuck**, who fully committed by dressing as icebergs! 🧊
Teams competed in our **"Ship Is Sinking" Progressive Scramble**, where the challenges increased throughout the round until teams were left trying to survive Hole #9 with only one club (plus a putter) salvaged from the wreckage.
When all was said and done, **Kurt & Sue Fisk** and **Seth Birkholz & Courtney Fisk** claimed victory with a score of **31**, edging out **Gary & Pam Shattuck** and **Kyle & Hallie Bahnick** by just one stroke.
The runner-up team nearly pulled off the comeback after successfully earning a one-stroke bonus during the **Lifeboat Putting Challenge**, but it wasn't quite enough.
Other highlights included:
✈️ Frank Bisconti & Wendi Kuhnen winning the **"I'm Flying!" Long Drive Contests**
👑 Ken Kuhnen & Julie Culvey winning the **"King of the World!" Long Putt Contests**
💎 Doug Shumaker & Diane Ironside winning the **"Jack & Rose" Closest-to-the-Pin Contests**
The winning team is pictured holding the life preservers that every golfer had to wear while teeing off on Hole #1—making Frank and Wendi's long drives even more impressive!
Thanks to everyone who participated and helped make the first event of the season a huge success.
