A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 6:00 PM regarding the proposed nickel refinery at 1 Caesarstone Drive. This is an important moment for our community.
The appeal, filed by Caesarstone Technologies USA, Inc., challenges the Planning Director's decision that a proposed nickel refinery does not qualify as 'manufacturing' under the 2013 Belfast Commerce Centre PUD.
Growth and industrial development decisions like this can have lasting impacts on our environment, infrastructure, quality of life. This meeting is open to the public. Show up. Speak out. Protect our community.
Happy Mother's Day to the moms and those who treat kids like their own, caring and providing for them.

How did our graduation rates improve? The Superintendent and Board of Education approved moved the goal post...we stopped giving zeros and give out 50% for not doing anything. Is this preparing students for the real world and work place?

Is he wrong?
Thank you to the teachers of Bryan County...whether this was your first year or you have been with our family for the past 15 years while we resided here.
Thank you for all you do, and I hope we were supportive of you with teaching our kids. As I know our kids talk about the teachers that made an impact on them.
Thank you teachers.
I am either clever or brilliant with the discussion of Dr Paul Brooksher consulting, and made the Board of Education acknowledged me and you or they have to back pedal on what could have been.
Either way it is on the record for all to see for the future.
Soon to come emails threatening staff...
Bryan County Deserves Better: Accountability, Transparency, Results.
I am Scott Novinski, and I am running for Bryan County School Board Chairman.
*In the video the correct election year is 2024
The School Board hasn't listened to you for years, and they're getting bolder. Your vote is the only thing that will make them listen! That's why your vote mattered for Shawn Page of District 1 in 2020, and that's why it matters now.
When my neighbors, myself, and the community were tired of what was happening, I stepped up to take on the School Board to make changes. Some changes have happened because it mattered, and they started hearing our voice.
Imagine someone on the School Board of Education who actually listens to your concerns.
I believe that person is me, and I'd be honored and grateful to represent the parents, teachers, tax payers and students of our community in making us the best county with education that we can be.
I'm Scott Novinski, and I'm putting the public back in public education with analytical leadership for Bryan County's growing future.
Good morning everyone, just wanted to say that with all the various posts and comments, thank you, we have had great respectful conversations with each other and neighbors about issues, concerns that have been informative to some.
Early voting is now till May 15th
Voting ends on May 19th
I hope I earn your support for Board of Education Chairman.
Have a great day, J. Scott Novinski
