On this Maundy Thursday I am praying for all of us revivalists to fully understand the depth of the bread and wine every time we partake the Lord’s Supper. Because of His body broken and blood shed for us we can live whole, healed, joy filled regardless of our circumstances, and rest in His presence where we are filled up so our lives can be poured out as an offering. True revival starts when we realize that it has nothing to do with us and everything to do with Him.
“When the hour had come, He sat down, and the twelve apostles with Him. Then He said to them, “With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer; for I say to you, I will no longer eat of it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves; for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.” And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.”

Every Tuesday since 1948 a group of people from various churches have met at Calvary Missionary Church to pray for the revival that we are now experiencing. Some of them are no longer living, but believed they were called to pray for an outpouring that they would never see. That group still meets every Tuesday at 10am and welcomes all to join with them in prayer.
