USAID/INDIA COMPLETES IT'S 8TH GRANTS
COMPLIANCE COURSE (Part 2 of 2)

In support of USAID/India’s Regional Office of Acquisition and Assistance (ROAA) and the Regional Financial Management Office (RFMO), Claro KC facilitated the eighth local capacity training course on June 5 -9, 2017 in Delhi, India.

At total of 35 attendees participated in this particular course, including USAID/India Agreement Officer Representatives (AORs) and technical officers and USAID/India's implementing partners.

Mr. Amr Elattar, Director RFMO provided opening remarks and presided over the graduation ceremony and provided the graduates their course completion certificates.

The course was facilitated by Ms. Christine Librizzi and Bonnie Knox, both with extensive course facilitation skills and experience.

The compliance focused course was enhanced by presentations from USAID/India’s Program Support Office focused on Branding and Marking and RFMO’s presentation related to India specific issues on financial matters, Value Added Taxes, audits, Specific Conditions (SC) and advance payment request processes.

USAID/INDIA COMPLETES 7TH GRANTS COMPLIANCE COURSE

In support of USAID/India’s Regional Office of Acquisition and Assistance (ROAA) and the Regional Financial Management Office (RFMO), Claro KC facilitated the sixth local capacity training course on February 27 - March 3, 2017 in Delhi, India.

At total of 35 attendees participated in this particular course, including 12 USAID/India Agreement Officer Representatives (AORs) and technical officers and USAID/India's implementing partners.

Mr. Idris Diaz, Acting Mission Director and Mr. Amr Elattar, Director RFMO provided opening remarks, while Mr. Elattar presided over the graduation ceremony and provided the graduates their course completion certificates.

The course was facilitated by Mr. Jeffery Bell and Mr. Joseph Steele.

The compliance focused course was enhanced by presentations from USAID/India’s Program Support Office focused on Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL), the RFMO’s presentation related to India specific issues on financial matters, Value Added Taxes, audits, Specific Conditions (SC) and advance payment request processes.

Herramientas Restaurativas para la Paz 12/06/2016

El Curso Herramientas Restaurativas para la Paz y la Reconciliación en el Valle del Cauca se llevó a cabo desde el 30 de noviembre hasta el 2 de diciembre en Cali, Colombia gracias a la alianza entre la Gobernación del Valle del Cauca, el Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo –UNDP y Claro Que Sí (de su marca en inglés Claro KC). En el encuentro, se creó un espacio de comunicación e intercambio de experiencias que involucró a representantes la Gobernación del Valle, PNUD-Manos a la Paz, Coordinadora Campesina del Valle, Marcha Patriótica, Red de Mujeres Excombatientes de la Insurgencia, ICBF-Regional, Universidad del Valle, Universidad Javeriana, Universidad Autónoma, Universidad de Antioquia, Universidad San Buenaventura Cali, CORPUDESA, CFJ Buen Pastor, OIM Valle del Cauca, Foro Nacional por Colombia y el PCN. El trabajo realizado a lo largo de estos días tuvo el propósito de brindar instrumentos que permitan superar la violencia del pasado y fortalecer las comunidades mediante la generación de interacciones asertivas y empáticas basadas en modelos de comunicación positivos y no violentos

The Restorative Tools for Peace and the Reconciliation in Valle del Cauca course, was carried out from November 30 until December 2 in Cali, Colombia thanks to the alliance among Gobernación del Valle del Cauca, the United Nations Program-UNDP and Claro KC. Within the course deliberations, a space was created to permit a wide exchange to share experiences among representatives from the Government, PNUD-hands to the Peace, Marcha Patriótica, Red de Mujeres Excombatientes de la Insurgencia, ICBF-Regional, Universidad del Valle, Universidad Javeriana, Universidad Autónoma, Universidad de Antioquia, Universidad San Buenaventura Cali, CORPUDESA, CFJ Buen Pastor, OIM Valle del Cauca, Foro Nacional por Colombia and Proceso de Comunidades Negras-PCN. The work accomplished throughout the course included a wide-ranging discussion of instruments and tools available that could be utilized to overcome the violence of the past and to strengthen the communities by means of the generation of assertive and empathic interactions based on positive and not violent models of communication.

We feel grateful with Pablo, Marisol and Manuel Alfonso, our Claro KC’s Team, who facilitated this event. We are deeply thankful for each one of the attendees for their interest and commitment showed throughout these three days of arduous work and learning. Also we offer our appreciation to the whole Logistics Teams from Gobernacion del Valle del Cauca, PNUD and from Claro KC. We stand willing to continue collaborating and following up with your implementation or restorative tools in your areas of work and inside your territories.

In support of USAID/Sri Lanka, Claro KC facilitated the Grant and Cooperative Agreement Compliance Course for USAID Staff and Partners October 24-28, 2016 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
At total of 29 attendees participated in this particular course, including participants in Project Management, A&A Specialists, Environmental Program Managers, Project Management Specialists, Program Coordinator, Contracting Officer and OAA Staff, Development Budget Specialist and a Voucher Clerk representing the USAID Mission. In addition, participants from the implementing partners included a Chief of Party, Chief Executive Officer, Executive Directors, Deputy Director, Project Support Officer, Program Manager, Senior Program Coordinators, Accountants and an Operations Manager. Ms. Christine Librizzi and Ms. Mollie Allers facilitated the course throughout.

The Claro KC course was tailored to train participants to work more effectively with USAID/Sri Lanka and provided an overview of the essential elements of USAID assistance rules and regulations. The USAID Partners attending the course achieved a greater ability to implement their programs more effectively, which should result in reduced administrative burden of USAID staff in post award implementation and more capable collaborative and productive partners. Based on Claro KC's accreditation status with the National Association of State Board of Accountancy (NASBA), all participants in attendance were provided with 40 hours of continuing learning credits (CPEs) for professional training, while USAID participants will be provided 40 hours of USAID continuous learning points (CLPs) for their time. At total of 29 attendees participated in this particular course, including 7 USAID/India Agreement Officer Representatives (AORs) and technical officers and USAID/India's implementing partners.

Mr. Chuck Pope, Director ROAA and Mr. Amr Elattar, Director RFMO provided opening remarks, while Mr. Pope presided over the graduation ceremony and provided the graduates their course completion certificates.

The course was facilitated by Mr. Timothy Beans (former USAID Procurement Executive and Mission Director) and Mr. Joseph Steele.

The compliance focused course was enhanced by presentations from USAID/India’s Program Support Office focused on Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL), the RFMO’s presentation related to India specific issues on Value Added Taxes, audits, Specific Conditions (SC) and advance payment request processes.

USAID/India Completes 5th Grants Compliance Course 06/13/2016

In support of USAID/India’s Regional Office of Acquisition and Assistance (ROAA) and the Regional Financial Management Office (RFMO), Claro KC facilitated the fifth local capacity training course on June 6 - 10, 2016 in Delhi, India.

At total of 38 attendees participated in this particular course, including 2 USAID/India Agreement Officer Representatives (AORs), 35 staff members from USAID/India’s portfolio of implementing partners and a Financial Management specialist from USAID/Sri Lanka.

USAID's Deputy Mission Director, Idris Diaz addressed the class with opening remarks, while Mr. Chuck Pope, Director ROAA and Mr. Amr Elattar, Director RFMO provided closing remarks and course completion certificates participating in the training event. Ms. Christine Librizzi and Ms. Mollie Allers facilitated the course throughout.
