As we always say, thanks to the generosity of our donors, the dedication of our Board members, and the unwavering efforts of our local team, we continue our mission of love to the communities and children in Jacmel.

Profession day at Snyder Jones Academy,

According to the German philosopher Emmanuel Kant, education aims to take human beings out of animality into humanity. Education is a powerful factor for social and economic change. It improves health and livelihoods, contributes to social stability and stimulates long-term economic growth. Education is at the heart of UNESCO’s mission as an instrument that can help us eradicate poverty across the world. Referring to education, former African president Nelson Mandela said: “Education is the most powerful weapon that can be used to change the world”.

Taking these quotes into consideration, our school Snyder Jones Academy does not only aim to educate children by teaching them how to read and write but we preferably want to train professionals in different fields such as medicine, law, music, psychology, health, security, capable of making a valuable contribution to the economic progress of Haiti.

In this perspective, the staff of Snyder Jones Academy organized a special day called career day where each child had the chance to wear the outfit linked to the profession of their dream.

In addition, professionals from different fields were invited to take part in this activity to guide these children in their choice. This initiative aims above all to facilitate the choice of our children who all dream of a better future for Haiti.

We humbly thank our donors and the members of our board of directors for saluting the determination of our local staff who made it all possible.

Today marks the end of the internship period for a group of students that we received at Snyder Jones Academy from the 10th to the 21st of february 2025.

During these 2 weeks , our teachers have shared their experience with the interns who are now more equipped as future teachers .

This morning , during a small gathering for them to say goodbye , they have expressed their gratitude to the administration of our school by giving a plaque to the secretary of the behalf of the school.

We are proud that our school is not just helping the underprivileged children of the community but we are also using our resources to prepare future teachers .

All of this would have not been possible without the generosity of our donors , the commitment of Board members and the hard work of the local team. we are grateful to all of them . Education remains the field in which the Foundation has invested the most in Haiti because we strongly believe that the biggest wealth of the country is its people with a great educational background and a feeling of belonging to the country .

The staff of Snyder Jones Academy celebrated the valentine's day with the kindergarten kids and the interns . Haitian cholocate and bread were served as lunch today in this moment of love and sharing to symbolize the love we share to each other and for the Haitian culture .
