Today was Ocean Lifeguard EMT Thierry Lirola’s last day. No one embodied the pursuit of perfection like Thierry. Whether it was in the morning coffee he’d make for the crew slowly frothing the sugar until it was just right or any craft repair he took on, to design & implementation of tower storage T’s work was impeccable & unmatched. His work ethic was/is just the same. Beyond all the meticulous professionalism he was a great friend. Pompano Beach won’t be the same without T pushing us to do better, to be better, to train harder. Safe travels, friend.

As a division of Fire Rescue we work closely together particularly the beach station, Station 11. Jay Lester was always there for a hug. He was going to ride motorcycles when he retired which was pretty close. Our deepest condolences to our brothers & sisters in the combat division.
