We are thrilled to announce a flavorful addition to our community - Bigtreebbqinc is planting roots in Pompano Beach! 🎉 From a backyard passion project to a buzzing food trailer, Kenneth and Janice Bynum have been serving up mouth-watering BBQ to the Collier City residents since 2005. Now, they're ready to take the next big step with us!

Thanks to the dedication and hard work of the Bynums, and support from our Strategic Investment Program, Big Tree BBQ is transitioning into a 1,500 sq ft brick-and-mortar restaurant, complete with a 300 sq ft covered patio. Nestled conveniently on Powerline Road between NW 5th Street and NW 4th Court, this location is perfect for serving our community and providing unmatched exposure for this beloved local brand. 🎈

This project is a shining example of what we strive for at the CRA: fostering generational wealth and supporting the dreams of our local entrepreneurs. The approved plans include not just the restaurant space but also parking and landscaping improvements, ensuring that Big Tree BBQ becomes a landmark spot for locals and visitors alike.

We have an exciting update in our Northwest CRA District!

The NW CRA Advisory Committee & CRA Board recently approved an unsolicited proposal from Bigtreebbqinc, a successful Pompano Beach-based food truck interested in expanding to a brick-and-mortar location.

Big Tree BBQ will begin construction on vacant and underutilized CRA-owned land. Once construction is complete, Big Tree BBQ will take ownership of the land under a development agreement with the CRA.
