The Meigs County Cancer Initiative was founded in 1993 as a group of volunteers dedicated to reducing cancer incidence and mortality in Meigs County.

Breast cancer can affect people at any age. While most breast cancers are diagnosed later in life, knowing your body, understanding your individual risk factors, and recognizing changes early are important at every age. 🎀
If you notice a new lump or other unusual breast changes, don’t wait—talk with your healthcare provider. Those with a family history of breast cancer, certain genetic mutations, or other risk factors should also discuss when screening may be appropriate for them.
Awareness has no age limit. Know your risk. Know the signs. Speak up about changes.
