Three Rivers Park District

Did you know Three Rivers now has a Fishing Rod Loaner Program?! Through this new program visitors can try fishing at select Park District locations. Each participating site offers free rentals that include fishing rods and a small tackle box. Bait is also available for purchase at select locations.

Fishing rod loaners will be available from Memorial Day-Labor Day and are available to rent in two-hour time slots. Learn more at threeriversparks.org/activity/fishing You can rent them in person at the following participating locations:

Join the Three Rivers' Outdoor Recreation School at Hyland Lake Park Reserve for a summer of paddling and celebrating our Big Year of Rivers with Paddle Club!

Learn new skills, refine your paddling technique and explore parks by watercraft. Some paddling experience recommended. Paddle sports alternate between kayak, canoe and stand-up paddleboard and locations vary by week. threeriversparks.link/PaddleClub

Located on the south shore of Cedar Lake near New Prague, Cedar Lake Farm Regional Park is a picturesque site for picnicking, swimming and shore fishing.

New camper cabins offer options for overnight stays in this picturesque park (be sure to reserve well in advance as these are popular).

Float down the Mississippi and explore the natural shoreline by raft at one of Mississippi Gateway Regional Park's Rafting on the River programs! Discover birds, minnows, mussels and more! Beginners are welcome.

Registration closes at midnight TONIGHT, June 10 for Two Paddles Canoe and Kayak Tours and Races Crow River 17 Canoe & Kayak Race & Tour. Register today to participate in this 17-mile paddling event on the Crow River this Saturday, June 13.

Whether you're power paddling in the competitive race divisions or enjoying the non-competitive recreational tour, you're sure to have a fantastic fun time!

Ten dollars from every registration will go to support water quality efforts across the rivers, streams and lakes within Three Rivers Park District, funding critical monitoring, testing and restoration work that keeps these waterways clean, healthy and thriving. Snow in the summer? It's true! Believe it or not, Hyland Hills Ski Area has stowed away enough snow for our backyard jam-style event and to make a small tubing hill for the kids at Hyland Hills!
