Thomas J. Beatson, Jr. passed away unexpectedly on July 25, 2016. Having been diagnosed at age 10 with Type 1 diabetes, Tom was aware of the expense involved in managing this disease. In June 2015, Tom established the Beatson-ABHOW Type 1 Diabetes Fund making grants available to team members, their dependent children and residents throughout the ABHOW and be.group family who are living with Type 1 diabetes. It was Root Beer Float Day at the Terraces of Phoenix on Friday, July 11th hosted by the Terraces of Phoenix Foundation Committee. Wow, were those root beer floats popular with at least 125 residents and team members in attendance.
