It is with great sadness that we have received the news of a fallen hero battling one of California’s most intense wild land fires to date. Our thoughts, prayers, and hearts go out to the family members for their loss. We wish the family and Draper City Fire Dept the very best and hope that we can help and support them in anyway possible.

Pleasant Grove firefighters rebuilding decades-old fire truck Anyone who has visited the Pleasant Grove Fire Department in the last few decades has seen Old Joe, but he isn’t an aging firefighter.

Meet Old Joe! This 2 Ton Dodge Bros. / Graham Bros. Truck is getting an overhaul! Follow the progress, new photos will be posted periodically!

These are all the photos of our beloved Old Joe prior to the rebuild. Feel free to message us with any questions and we will do our best to answer them! Seems to be a year and model of truck with limited information, so if anyone has information about this lovely truck that would also be appreciated!

What we do know...

Old Joe is a 2 ton Dodge Bros. / Graham Bros. Model H44, Serial No. 8606998. This truck was purchased by Pleasant Grove City in 1933. The truck was purchased as a base model and was transformed by the on-duty staff of the the fire department to be fitted with pumping components, ladders, and a 500 foot hose reel. The on-duty staff donated their skill, time, and own money towards the truck. This truck is capable at producing 350 gallons per minute at 120 pounds of pressure. As part of a new station being built we thought it was only proper to make Old Joe new again. These are the before photos and photos will be added periodically as progress is made.
