It’s May and finally thawing out in the Adirondacks. I’m doing some gardening this summer while the sun is shining and transforming the the space around this industrial art studio. 🌱

It’s been a long winter already, and I’m still adjusting to the move from sunny Austin, TX to the New York north country. It’s colder and windier, and snowier than any place I’ve ever lived. So cars, I’m still enjoying the challenge. I swear to you though, I’m getting some heat off of this paint color and it’s giving me a boost of energy! Isn’t it amazing what a coat of paint can do for our moods? 🔥🐉

Long work day meeting up with various technicians and repairmen to get the gas heater working and fiber internet set up. Kept myself busy moving tables, shelves, and piles of wood around. It’s incredibly exciting to get some work space again, since I said goodbye to my Austin woodshop over a year ago already. Feeling *very lucky* to have found this spot and I hope to never take such a long break from making art ever again!

This is the first shop I’ve rented that’s insulated and has concrete floors that are smooth enough for rollerskating. I’ll be able to get my work done much faster now! 🛼🛼
