At UYLC, our students love opportunities to mix, build, predict, experiment, and discover. These hands-on experiences encourage problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration while making learning engaging and meaningful. That’s why STEM is an important part of our program.

Through hands-on exploration, students naturally strengthen literacy, functional math, communication, and life skills while building confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

Meaningful learning begins with connection. It’s the foundation of everything we do at UYLC.

Today we celebrate someone who is truly the heart behind so much of what makes UYLC special. Maygan is the person who is always there for our staff, students, and families no matter what is needed. Whether she’s stepping in to sub, picking up lunches after a field trip, helping solve a problem, offering encouragement, or simply showing up with a smile, she does it all with love and grace.

Maygan loves all students as if they were her own and works tirelessly to make sure every student feels supported, valued, and successful. Her loyalty, dedication, and selflessness are unmatched. She is the kind of coworker and friend that people are lucky to have in their corner.

Beyond everything she does, Maygan is beautiful inside and out. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering commitment to UYLC shine through in every interaction and every decision she makes.

UYLC is a relationship-based learning environment designed for neurodiverse learners, with an emphasis on the autism population, who benefit from a more personalized, supportive, and hands-on experience.

We focus on:

• Functional academics and real-world learning

Because we’re not bound by a traditional model, we have the flexibility to meet students where they are and support their growth in ways that matter most.

Families can use eligible TEFA funds to access our program.
