This is an overview of the Indy Power Systems' Microgrid at the Lamar Buffalo Ranch in Yellowstone National Park. This upgrade gives the Microgrid the ability to manage the new water turbine recently installed at Lamar.

Our Microgrid system now supports 2 solar arrays, 4 battery arrays (each 52 Hybrid Camry battery packs for a total of 208 battery packs), a propane generator, and now the Hydro turbine pictured.

Navagant Research has determined that Hybrid Energy Storage Systems may be a thing... a 2GW thing by 2026. And yes, we already have such a system!

Booth at Defense Innovation Summit Nov 30 in Austin was a great success! This was an invitation only event where we were invited to present our system of secondary-use batteries for energy storage to a panel and break-out session. We were also invited to a one-on-one meeting with representatives of the Navy.

According to Navigant Research, global microgrid capacity is expected to grow from 1.4 GW in 2015 to 7.6 GW in 2024 under a base scenario.
The largest microgrid market today is Asia Pacific, displacing North America for the first time. By the end of the 10-year forecast, these two regions are expected to switch places, with North America in the lead again.
