Happy International Women's Day! This year's theme is "Give to Gain."

According to InternationalWomensDay.com, "Give To Gain emphasizes the power of reciprocity and support. When people, organizations, and communities give generously, opportunities and support for women increase. Giving is not a subtraction, it's intentional multiplication. When women thrive, we all rise."

March is Women's History Month! This year's theme, provided by the National Women's History Alliance, is “Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future.”

A century ago, Carter G. Woodson established the first national commemoration of Black history with what was originally a week-long observation.

This year's theme is A Century of Black History Commemorations, highlighting, "the impact and meaning of Black history and life commemorations in transforming the status of Black peoples in the modern world," according to the ASALH.
