What a blast at my first Black Rodeo in Dallas representing NBC DFW yesterday! 🤠🙏🏾

Thank you to the Hearn family for trusting me with the intermission tribute honoring their patriarch, rodeo legend Cleo Hearn. He paved the way for so many cowboys and cowgirls, as the black rodeo has grown over the years. This was the first without him, after he passed away last year.

Elizabeth Angle’s parents just shared these photos with us. She’s the 16-year-old, Wakeland High sophomore who died in a sledding accident over the weekend in Frisco. 🙏🏾

Her friend, also involved in the accident is in the hospital in critical condition according to Frisco PD.
