She was flying to visit her childhood best friend…
And before she left, she reached out to ask if she could buy two corded necklaces from my Live in Color collection
One for herself, and one for her friend she was going to see
But I wasn’t expecting this…
She sent me this video from her trip
Everything from the airport… to seeing her friend… to giving her the necklace
And I can’t even tell you how happy this made me feel
Her friend’s reaction was the sweetest
She sent me a message after and said they don’t get to see each other as much as they’d like
And then she said, “Now we both have a necklace we can wear that will always remind us of this trip and the memories we made together”
And this is exactly what I hope for when I make my pieces…
that they’ll connect with you in some way, and become something meaningful you love to wear
And from the messages I’m getting, I really do think these necklaces are becoming exactly what I hoped they would be

She said, “I do put so many things off for later”
A customer sent me this message today after she saw my Live in Color collection, and I just sat there for a minute after reading it
This is exactly why sharing the meaning behind this collection matters so much to me
I really think there are a lot of us who keep waiting for someday.
We don’t mean to keep putting things off. We just get caught up in real life… taking care of everyone, getting through the day, doing all the things that need to get done
And without even realizing it, the things we say that matter the most ~ the people we love, the moments we don’t want to miss, the life we keep saying we want to live ~ somehow keep getting pushed to later

It came from a very personal place
It was inspired by an unimaginable loss in my life… losing my daughter, Caroline
When you lose someone you love with all your heart, and you realize you can never get back the time you thought you’d always have, time starts to feel so much more meaningful
And you start to feel that the moments of joy, connection, and adventure are already right there, waiting to be lived… not waiting for the perfect time
And that’s what makes this collection feel so special to me… a little reminder to stop waiting for someday and start making time for the life we keep saying we want to live
