The Musalla complex, also known as the Musallah Complex or the Musalla of Gawhar Shah, is a former Islamic religious complex located in Herat, Afghanistan, containing examples of Timurid architecture.

Situated near Jubb Yusuf Caravanserai, the Well of Prophet Yusuf (عليه اسلام) is believed and respected as the pit into which the Prophet Yusuf (عليه اسلام) was cast into by his brothers, later to be sold to a caravan making its way toward Egypt.

The Mosque of Ibn Tulun is one of the oldest mosques in Egypt as well as the whole of Africa surviving in its full original form, and is the largest mosque in Cairo in terms of land area. It is built around an open square courtyard which allows natural light to travel through. Ibn Tulun Mosque features ancient architecture styles of Egypt, its decorations being created from carved stucco and wood. This mosque is a popular tourist attraction.

The Sailors’ Mosque was rebuilt in Ulcinj by Ibrahim Pasha of Scutari, who was seriously wounded in the Battle of Crosi in 1796. He built this mosque to express his gratitude to God for his recovery. In 1931 it was destroyed by the army of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia and after eight decades it was rebuilt, and today it is the most beautiful building belonging to Islamic architecture in Montenegro with its minaret that is 26 meters high.

Al-Ukhdud which is mentioned in the Quran, witnessed historical events 2000 years ago and consequently led to its burning with its residents leaving it in ruins, when the last king of that era wanted to take revenge of Najran Christian residents who refused to convert to Judaism.

Sidi Okba Mosque is a historical mosque and the oldest mosque in Algeria. The mosque is located in the Sidi Okba commune in the Biskra Province, Algeria. It was originally built in 686 AD as a mausoleum for the great Muslim conqueror, Uqba ibn Nafi, a military commander and one of the most prominent leaders of the Islamic conquest of Morocco during the era of the Rashidun and Umayyad Caliphates.
