In our programs we talk about affirmations and reading them out loud every day until we believe them. A book of affirmations that we recommend is “I Believe in Me” by Connie Bowen.

Life Enriching Communication is offering an Empowered Parenting Class. This interactive, activity-based parenting class will focus on identifying and understanding dynamics that do not enrich or serve parents and learning tools that will help you navigate conflicts and parent in a compassionate way. (Fulfills court mandated child abuse prevention classes)
Some topics:
Understand the constructs of harmful behavior
Learn “power with” vs. "power over” strategies
Learn to deal with problem behaviors and tantrums
Identify areas of control and abuse
Build new skills such as Nonviolent Communication to help improve your communication with your children and partner.
When: Tuesdays or Thursdays, 6:30-8:30 pm (online on Zoom)
