As we tell anyone who will listen, always begin your narrative with a value. When we launched Sequal Consulting in January 2016, we knew what we valued most:

1. Building a strategic communications firm focused on shifting power from corporations and billionaires to the people and the planet.

2. Fighting for collective liberation by centering the voices and stories of those most impacted and least heard.

Working toward those goals has been our North Star at Sequal.

But we also feel strongly that everyone needs to know when to lead and when to step back. After 8 years of running Sequal Consulting, and a combined 20+ years in the non-profit and labor union world, we’ve made the bittersweet decision to wind down operations at Sequal Consulting at the end of March.

We are so lucky to have partnered with so many fearless, inspiring, transformational folks leading and working at groundbreaking organizations. We have immense gratitude for our clients – especially the trust and partnership you’ve instilled in us as we’ve worked together to build a multiracial, multi-gender, cross-class economy that works for all of us. We are proud of the small but mighty Sequal team - all committed to the struggle for a better world.

We’re not sure what the future holds for us, but while we may not see you at the office or around the table for a while, you can be sure that we will still see you in the streets.

Thank you for your business, support, and friendship as we’ve navigated these increasingly tumultuous waters together.

🚨🚨Campaign victory alert!

This week, Rhode Island's Governor Dan McKee signed into law the Nursing Home Staffing and Quality Care Act, making Rhode Island a national leader for nursing home staffing standards.

The law will also put historically underpaid nursing home workers on a path to a living wage. This is a major victory for thousands of RI nursing home residents and caregivers, and the culmination of almost two years of our work with SEIU District 1199 New England and the Raise the Bar on Resident Care campaign.
