BikePGH is transforming our streets to make biking and walking commonplace for all Pittsburghers

CAMP formally launches at the Statewide Active Transportation Summit 06/15/2026

Big news for safer streets across PA--

We’re proud to help launch the Coalition for Active Mobility in Pennsylvania (CAMP), to win better policies for people who bike, walk, roll, and ride transit. No single org can do it alone, but together, we are stronger and more effective.

We were in Harrisburg earlier this month to kick things off, and this is just the beginning!

U.S. cities can (and do!) achieve ZERO traffic fatalities on their streets.

If Jersey City can do it, which is about the same size as , we can too! 🌟

🍌 Yes, our goofy little Side Quest will be back at Open Streets PGH this month! π—ͺπ—΅π˜† 𝗱𝗼 π˜„π—² 𝗱𝗼 π˜π—΅π—Άπ˜€, you ask?

Because it's a soft introduction to on-street riding!

Our Side Quest is designed to connect folks with Pittsburgh’s bike infrastructure beyond the car-free OpenStreetsPGH route. While OpenStreetsPGH creates a safe, car-free environment, many participants only feel comfortable riding during the event itself.

We aim to bridge that gap by encouraging them to briefly experience real-world riding on nearby city streets-- often on protected bike lanes-- so they can feel more comfortable choosing to bike in their everyday lives, even after OpenStreets ends.

Ride the Side Quest at OpenStreetsPGH on 6/28:
Step 1: Visit the tent for instructions
Step 2: Follow the banana signs to ride the Side Quest course
Step 3: Scan the banana QR code
Step 4: Return to the tent to collect your prize (while supplies last!)
